GitHub Copilot Adds OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna Models
GitHub has rolled out OpenAI's new GPT-5.6 family directly into Copilot with three variants tuned for different jobs: Sol for deep reasoning over large codebases, Terra as the balanced everyday agentic coding default, and Luna as a lightweight, cost-efficient option. All three are billed at provider list pricing under Copilot's usage-based billing.
